At the helm of Raindrum’s clinical care is Dr Tonya Coren, a dedicated leader who ensures our clients receive the very best care. She works hand-in-hand with the Raindrum team, making sure every program runs smoothly and delivers exceptional results. With a wealth of experience in General Practice, Tonya brings a pragmatic, yet empathetic approach to client care.

Tonya completed her medical degree at Notre Dame University in 2008 and subsequently took up an internship at Gold Coast University Hospital. Afterward, she completed a year of residency at Royal Prince Alfred, Sydney and then completed her final year at Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick. It was here where she honed her diagnostic and procedural skills and developed a comprehensive approach to primary care.

Over the past few years, Tonya has worked to help patients struggling with mental health, addiction and complex trauma. She is passionate about working within this space given there is considerable potential to enable change. In addition to her training in Trauma-Sensitive Practice, Tonya is also accredited in Opioid Treatment, making her well-equipped to support individuals with complex needs.

Down-to-earth and approachable, Tonya incorporates evidence-based medical treatments with proven therapies to develop bespoke, holistic treatment plans that focus on recovery. She believes that supporting an individual to recognise their own capability is fundamental in the process of creating lasting change.
