Clinical Psychologist

Kathleen Cator is a Clinical Psychologist, certified mindful self-compassion teacher, and ecopsychologist, providing integrative and holistic care to her clients. Kathleen incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including trauma-focused interventions, mindfulness practices, and nature-based therapies, to address the unique needs of her clients. She recognizes the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach and collaborates closely with GP’s, psychiatrists, bodywork practitioners, nutritionists, and art therapists, to ensure comprehensive and personalised treatment plans.

Kathleen's expertise in mindfulness and self-compassion enables her to guide clients in developing inner resources and resilience while integrating nature-based interventions to foster healing and connection. With her compassionate presence, unwavering support, and evidence-based approaches, Kathleen empowers her clients to embark on a path of recovery, transformation, and renewed well-being.

Kathleen has a Master of Clinical Psychology from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne and is a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, from Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute at the University of Southern California, San Diego. Kathleen is a registered clinical psychologist with the AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia. She lives and works in Byron Bay, on the lands of the Arakwal People, the Widjabal people and the Minjungbal people of the Bundjalung Nation.
