Registered Nurse

Patient-centred care, compassion, clear communication, confidentiality and dignity are at the heart of Mia Romero Hay's skilled nursing practice.

Originally from Hawaii, Mia has worked in private nursing care administering and overseeing patients’ nursing needs, coordinating care plans, providing family and patient education, and stress reduction support including restorative yoga and breath work.

Mia trained as a registered nurse in Colorado, gaining experience in emergency medicine, medical surgery, cardiology, pre-op and post-op procedures, labour and delivery and neonatal intensive care.

In 2018 she emigrated to Australia and worked in The Health Lodge Byron Bay as a part of the integrative medical team.

A busy mother-of-one, she continues to teach yoga, swim and paddleboard with her family, and pursue her love of cooking fresh, healthy foods with local ingredients.
